Jackson and I flew to Texas on Sunday (Feb. 20th). It was a really quick trip, but we had a wonderful time. Note to self, whenever planning trips back to Texas...we need to try and stay as long as possible so we can see everyone we want to see and we need to plan in advance so we can work around other people's schedules. Despite my poor planning, Jackson and I were blessed by friends and family members who were able to find time to see us during our quick trip. If we didn't catch you this trip, hopefully we will the next time we are in Texas! Crazy to think that Dillan will be with us the next time we make the trip!

Even though Jackson did not take a nap on the plane...he did AMAZING!!!! He was such a trooper our whole trip! Nonni and Papa picked us up from the airport and we met my sister, Michelle, and her family at a park in Dallas and had a picnic. I fed Jackson in the car in an effort to keep him awake, but as soon as he saw the playground, he tapped into his reserves and had so much fun playing! It was so nice of the Harris family to make the drive to meet us. I don't have a lot of pictures, but as you can tell, Jackson had fun!
After leaving the park, we made the drive to Palestine. Here is a picture of my sweet boy sleeping!
On Monday morning, we went to see my Dad's mother.

This picture is out of order...oops :) Oh well...Jackson warmed up to Nonni & Papa pretty quickly...we do skype with them and I really think that helps. I am sure it will help even more when he is older. Jackson really liked my dad. I was even able to sleep in a couple of mornings while Jackson hung out with Papa :)
On Monday afternoon, my friend, Kerri, and her daughter, Olivia, drove up for a visit. This was the first time for Jackson and Olivia to meet! Here is a picture of Jackson trying to show Olivia his belly button. She doesn't seem too impressed :)
They threw acorns for awhile
Then Jackson tried to give Olivia a leaf...this was better received than the belly button :)
Thank you so much Kerri and Olivia for enduring the traffic and long drive to come and see us. We had so much fun!!!!
On Tuesday, we just hung out and tried to have a low key day. Then on Wednesday, my mom's mother and her husband, Pat stopped by for a quick visit.
My sister, Meredith, and her 2 girls also drove up on Wednesday and spent the night and hung out with us all day Thursday. My nieces were riding their scooters and Jackson wanted to do it, too. So Meredith and Jackson rode the scooter. He loved it!
Next, he walked beside the scooter.
And finally, he got his wish...he got to "ride" on the scooter "all by himself" :)
My mom couldn't resist getting a picture of me and all my glory :) No make-up, crazy hair, and big belly :) As I suspected, everyone was shocked by my big belly and wondering how in the world I still had 4 months to go!!!!! I was 24 weeks yesterday and Walt's sister, Alex, and her family came over and they kept going on and on about how big my belly was!!!! I tried to warn them in advance...I guess there are just some things you can't prepare for :) I guess Dillan just wants to make sure his prescence is known!!!! Bring it on, Dillan...you are totally worth it!!!! He is such a miracle and we are so blessed!!!! I feel him moving often throughout the day...such an amazing thing!
On Friday, my mom drove us to Dallas to my friend, Jennifer's house. Jackson got to meet her husband and her 2 boys for the first time. He had so much fun! This was the best picture we could get of the three boys. Jackson was eating a yogurt covered raisin :)

We left Jennifer's and then drove to Walt's parents for dinner. It was such a quick visit, but we were so thankful to get to see them and Walt's sister, Kate, and her family. Unfortunately, since it was such a brief visit, I don't have any pictures :( Next time! Jackson and I flew out on Saturday and once again he did amazing! He was very excited to see his Daddy! Here they are snuggling :) Since we have been back, Jackson has been going through a "mommy phase". It's about time :) It's only fair since he went through a "daddy phase" not too long ago :)
Jackson loves climbing up on the chairs on our deck.
Look closely to see the grin on his face :)
Jackson's hair is getting lighter. He has some blond patches in it so it will be interesting to see if it stays red or continues to get lighter.
Our happy boy! We are so thankful for him!

Jackson shooting some hoops and saying some animal noises :) Once again, the video is cut short because Jackson wants to watch the video :)
