Its been awhile...

It has been WAY too long since I posted. I am sure no one will make it till the end, but since I am using this blog to document the boys' lives...here goes :)

Walt works in downtown Charlotte. Every Christmas, in one of the buildings downtown, they have "singing bears". So I took the boys and we met Walt for lunch and to see the bears. Jackson had a lot of fun...although he looks pretty serious in this picture :)

Walt and the boys...Dillan is having fun, too :)

Dillan turned 6 months on 12/20. Here are his 6 month stats > he is very proportionate :)

Height: 27.5 inches (90th-95th percentile)

Weight: 20lb 9oz (90th-95th percentile)

Head: 46cm (90th-95th percentile)

He is a very healthy and happy boy! We are so blessed!

He is now crawling and getting into things :) And since he is such a big boy...we had to get him a new car seat because he went over the weight limit of his old car seat.

Dillan is a fan of the pacifier :) More so than Jackson was. He usually only has it when he takes his naps or not feeling well. We got sick around Christmas. Jackson got it first, then me, then Dillan...we had a really bad cough and a runny nose. Poor little Dillan felt horrible.

Dillan loves walking around...Jackson wanted to "help" him

Look at Dillan's little face :)

We drove to Texas for Christmas. We decided to give it a try. The trip on the way down was not good. Poor Dillan was feeling horrible. Thankfully he was feeling better on the way back so the trip back was good. The boys did great! Jackson had a blast in Texas. He loved playing with all of his cousins.

Jackson got to sit at the big boy table with his cousins...he loved it!

Dillan definitely didn't feel good, but he was a trooper!

One of my nephews got this gun for Christmas and Jackson was playing with it, but he could only get it to work by holding it this way :)

Dillan...we brought his exersaucer because he loves to be standing up

We had a great time in Palestine and then we were off to Arlington to see Walt's family. Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures from our trip because my camera batteries died.

Jackson with his uncle Jack (his namesake)

On the way back, we stopped at a park in downtown Atlanta. The boys had fun!

Sometimes Jackson is still tired when he wakes up from his nap and he falls back to sleep when you get him

Dillan is now sitting up like a champ and crawling all over the place...here he is in the early stages of sitting up

Spending time with my boys!

Walt was watching the boys and I came in and found this...

...Walt found a way to watch the football game and keep the boys happy :)

Jackson LOVES to paint...he got this apron from Home Depot. Home Depot has monthly kid workshops and Walt takes him and he loves it. He gets to paint and build things. I am going to tag along to the February workshop so I can see him in action :)

We are so blessed to have such healthy and happy boys!

Dillan loves standing up...so I pulled out this toy and he loves it. He can't quite pull up yet...although I did stick him in the laundry basket yesterday because he thought it was fun and he pulled up on that.

Jackson recently rediscovered this toy (I had put it away) and he is having fun playing with it again...I learned that trick from my sister...i.e. put toys away and then bring them back out and they're as good as new :)

I tried to attach a video of Jackson, but I could not get it to work. Maybe I have met my max for this post :) I will try to attach it again the next post. So here is a little update on him. He is so full of joy and life and he is really starting to talk a lotand it is so much fun. When I pick him up from his 1 day/week program or church, he is so excited and trying to tell me about his time. He says "so glad to see you" while he is beaming from ear to ear. It is the cutest thing.

Here are some other cute things that he says:

* He isn't doing this anymore, but there were a couple of months where you would ask him a question like "do you like cookies?" and he would say very emphatically "Yes you do" instead of "Yes I do".

* One of the shows he likes is Wonder Pets...so when it is time to clean up and I am helping him...he sometimes will say "Teamwork!" b/c the Pets are all about teamwork :)

* He is a very affectionate little boy. He likes being held a lot and sitting in your lap and he will tell you "love you so much!"

* He will tell you "good job" or "great idea" :) Its nice to have such positive feedback :)

* If you ask him a question, he might say "Of course!"...for example if you ask him if he wants a cookie :)

* If he isn't sure what something is...he points at it and asks "This called?" or "This is?"

* If something isn't working, "Needs new batteries" even if it isn't something that uses batteries :)
