Father's Day 2013

Father's Day was the weekend we got back from the beach and we were trying to get settled back in...especially with the early arrival of Alexandria.
-
Aiden and I stayed home from church because he was still sleeping and Walt went to church with Jackson and Dillan.  After they got back from church, they gave Walt his gift.

It was a desk plaque for Walt to take to work that had pictures of the boys on it.
Aiden sporting his dad's alma mater
Since we weren't able to really celebrate....I asked Walt what his ideal day would be and he said playing "golf" with the boys and then having a picnic.  So we have scheduled that for the end of June.
-
Walt is an amazing husband and father.  He is so involved in everything and is always willing to help out in whatever way he can!  The boys and I are so lucky to have him in our lives!!!!

Beach 2013

At the beginning of June, we had my family's annual beach trip.  I was really looking forward to it since we weren't able to make it back for Christmas after Aiden was born.  It was our first time flying with all 3 boys and we were able to squeeze in the trip before Dillan's 2nd birthday.  So Aiden was in my lap, Dillan was in Walt's lap, and Jackson had his own seat.  We flew Southwest and on the way to Texas it was not a full flight, so we were able to spread out because everyone "avoided" us :)  The boys did a really good job.  It was Dillan's first day ever without a nap and he did great and even stayed up late adjusting to Texas time.
-
Here are the boys playing on the beach that first night.
Dillan was leery of the water, but liked playing in the sand.
Jackson was all about the whole experience...look closely and you will see his tongue :)
Jackson LOVED every minute of the beach

Dillan had fun in the pool.  He loves playing in the water....I think the waves just unnerved him a little bit.
Jackson wore his sunglasses most of the time (even inside).
Brothers

Aiden watching a video.  Poor guy had a hard time a lot of the trip.  He had fluid in his ears and was teething so he just wasn't a 100 percent.  We even visited the urgent care because he was crying so much and not sleeping well.  But he finally turned the corner at the end of the trip.
Hanging out below the beach house and playing with bubbles

Feeding the birds
Jackson was so tickled by the whole experience

The only time I got in the water.  I had even bought a "mom-suit", but when it came down to it, Jackson and Dillan wanted Walt because let's face it...he is a lot more fun and Aiden wanted me.  So I hardly spend any time down at the beach because Aiden was not a fan.
I love those feet!
Aiden spending some rare time down at "base camp"
Mid-week we moved Dillan's pool down to the beach.  He loved it!  The water got really dirty but he did not care.
Jackson digging
Good times with Daddy
Aiden with Nonni...now you know where I get my "beach hair" from :)
One of our many attempts at a family picture during our trip

Aiden
More bubble fun...I don't know why, but Dillan is one of those kids that's hard to keep clothes on :)

Sweet Abigail read Jackson a lot of books
Sometimes the boys needed a little quiet time...Dillan watching a show.
Jackson putting sunscreen on Walt
I LOVE THIS PICTURE!
Jackson, Benjamin, and Jonathan baking cookies with Meredith

Another attempt at a family picture

We went to the aquarium

They also had a dinosaur exhibit and a rainforest area.  The boys also got to see a dinosaur movie.

Sweet Aiden was a trooper
There was also a splash pad

Dillan was wiped on the way home.
Aiden was glad to get back to the beach house
Jackson, Caroline, and Anna Grace
Yet another attempt...

Our last day at the beach...so I put Aiden in his swim suit for the 10 minutes he wanted to be down at the beach :)

Jackson loved sitting in his chair.  He pulled it down near the water and enjoyed the view :)

Playing frisbee

Dillan LOVES his daddy!
Jackson was so happy to get to hold David
Ok...so I know this is the longest post ever....but here are some other random pictures from our trip to Texas.

Cousins Picture....it was really windy :)

Sisters Picture...still windy :)

Sweet David

All in all, it was a wonderful trip!  It is always so good to spend time with our family.  The boys did great on the flight back, too.  We had a great visit, but everybody was glad to get home!
