Dillan update (35 1/2 weeks) & random Jackson

I had a doctor's appoinment today. Everything looks good. Heart rate was 144bpm and I am measuring about the same as last week 36/37 weeks. I mentioned to the doctor that I felt like Dillan had dropped some this last week...not that I thought it was possible since he was already so low :). He went ahead and examined me and said that Dillan's head was really low and I am 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Obviously this doesn't necessarily mean much, but if I remember correctly...I don't think I was effaced at all with Jackson prior to the induction. At least it is a good start.

My mom requested a picture of the belly. Sorry I wasn't looking cuter, but this is the reality folks :) Work out clothes are a staple these days. It is amazing that my hair wasn't in a pony tail!

This is the only picture I took of Jackson this week. There were plenty of times I wanted to take a picture, but didn't have a camera readily available :( As you can see, Jackson loves putting on our shoes. In this particular picture he is wearing my tennis shoes :)

A few random Jackson tidbits:

* One of my new favorite words that he says is "Whoa!". Jackson has a lot of words, but many of them are only recognizable by Walt & I.
* Jackson has recently been going through an "attached" phase. I feel like it has gotten better and he is playing more independently. He will go to the people in the church nursery, but apparently they are having to hold him the whole time. Hopefully he will be back to playing and having a good time in the nursery soon!

* I mentioned that Jackson was sleeping till 7am after the time change, but that only lasted a week or so. He is now back to waking up between 5:45am-6:15am.

* Jackon loves playing with play doh. He asks to play with it every day. He likes using the tools and using the shape cutters, etc...obviously I am very involved in this process :)
* He still LOVES playing outside. He likes playing with the water hose, digging in the dirt using Daddy's plastic tools, playing basketball, and playing with anything that he can find in the garage :)

* Jackson is such an affectionate, fun, loving, and happy little boy. He brings such joy to our lives. We are praying for a smooth transition for him upon Dillan's arrival.

Mother's Day 2011 / Dillan Update

I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my boys. Walt let me sleep in...which was wonderful! Although I have to confess...he usually does let me sleep in on the weekends and I appreciate it so much! When I woke up, I had breakfast waiting for me and a balloon that Jackson picked out and a card from Walt and a card from Jackson. Then I got to spend the day with my boys. It was perfect! Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of me with my boys, but I did get a picture of the balloon and breakfast :)

I had a doctor's appointment on Monday and everything looks good. Heart rate was 135bpm and I was 34 1/2 weeks measuring 36/37 weeks. So Dillan definitely had another growth spurt! Now we are starting our weekly doctor visits! So crazy! 5 weeks to go (plus or minus)!!!

18 Month Stats, birthday parties, and more

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. I am wondering if my weekly posts are a thing of the past :) Probably :) These pictures may be a little out of order, but here is what has been going on with us since Easter.

-

I had a doctor's appointment on May 2nd. I was still measuring big, but there wasn't such a drastic difference as the appointment before. I was 32ish weeks and measured 33 1/2 weeks vs. 30ish weeks and measuring 33 weeks. I have an appointment tomorrow and will be interested in the measurements because I can tell I have gotten bigger this week so I am thinking Dillan had another growth spurt :) So we will see :)

Jackson went to his 18 month checkup and the doctor said that he is doing great. He is healthy and his development is right on track. We are so thankful and don't take this for granted. We praise God for our happy and healthy little boy. Here are his stats:

-

Height: 31 1/2 inches (~50th percentile)

Weight: 24lb 8oz (~5oth percentile)

Jackson went to a first birthday party for his friend, Sutton. I did not have my camera with me at the party, but here he is in the car. The party was during his nap time and we had to sit in traffic on the way there, but he did great. He hung in there and fell asleep on the way home. He had so much fun!

Jackson also went to his cousin Addie's birthday party. Snow White was there :)

Jackson had a blast. He loved the cupcakes, playing with balls, and digging in the dirt.

Notice the icing on his lips :)

Digging in the dirt (note the icing still on his face)

Playing outside...poor guy was sweating :)

I know it is blurry, but still thought it was such a cute picture

He was playing hard outside so we came in and he watched Diego. Notice the water dripping from his chin after he inhaled it :)

After eating a powdered donut :)

Splashing in the water...yes, he is in his clothes :) He was a little leary of the pool the first couple of days we had it out so I wasn't sure he was going to get in, but he finally warmed up to the idea :)

So much fun!

I finally took off his clothes because they were drenched :)

Last year we had a hard time keeping a hat on Jackson. This year he asks to wear his hat. Jackson was very excited when Walt had to pick up another water hose from Home Depot. This is him riding in the car :)

Playing basketball :)
