I finally surrender....I need an iphone :)

I have stuck with my flip phone and have resisted the urge to get an iphone...until now!  I realize that I am missing priceless moments like this.  I managed to take this picture with my ipad, but have finally accepted that I need to join the rest of the world and get an iphone :)  I am missing opportunities to capture priceless moments in the lives of my children....just this weekend we were at the park and Jackson and Dillan were sliding down side by side slides and making Aiden laugh....I would have loved to have captured that moment!  So hopefully I will be pulling the trigger soon....until then, I am just grateful to be looking at this sweet face and two other precious faces all day long!!!!  Love them so much!!!!  My heart is overflowing :)

Better late than never....

Walt likes to run 5ks.  He pushes Jackson and Dillan in our double jogging stroller.  The boys love it, too!  At the end, Walt lets Jackson get out and run and cross the finish line.  This is a professional picture from the 4th of July race.  I usually don't buy the pictures, but I could not resist :)

August 20 through August 24 (Boys will be boys)

Jackson found these headphones and was listening to some music.  He loved it!

This is the crocodile that Jackson got from the zoo.  It grows when you put it in the water.
Someone bought the house next door and is doing a lot of work on the house and the boys were watching some dump trucks :)
Jackson is so great with Aiden.  Aiden LOVES playing with Jackson.

Aiden was so proud of himself :)
Dillan put on his headphones by himself :)
Walt happened to be off work for the boys orientation.  The boys got a sucker.
  Happy boy!
Our other next door neighbor gave us these cars because her child had outgrown them.  The boys....especially Jackson...were soooo excited!

  Jackson washing his car :)
Potty training update - we are still working on it....usually Dillan will only tell you he needs to go if he has already done a little bit of tee tee in his underwear....its almost not enough to notice....so I guess that is better than making a big mess.  We also need to work on #2....he has not pooped on the potty since the first week of potty training....he either goes in his pull up during nap or in his underwear.  This makes it challenging for church and with him starting school because I don't want him to get confused wearing pull ups but he is not consistent enough to not wear a pull up.  So I am hoping that something will click this week.  He starts school a week from Wednesday.  Regardless, I keep telling myself that he will get there one way or another :)

July 29 through August 19 (Visitors from Alabama and a trip to the zoo)

Here is what we have been up to lately....
-
Jackson playing with Aiden in the pac n play
Dillan and James wanted to join in the fun so I took Aiden out for his safety :)
Sometimes with Jackson, Dillan, and James playing it can get a little crazy.....so I put Aiden in the play house with some stuffed animals to keep him out of harm's way :)  He loved it!
Yes....we have started potty training...here is Dillan in his big boy underwear.  He is not a fan of interrupting his day to day activities to run to the potty, but he is a fan of not having to wear pants since we are in the early stages of potty training :)

Aiden has started eating puffs

Aiden has also started pulling up and cruising around the furniture
Dillan's pictures are on the left and Jackson's pictures are on the right.  Dillan's pictures are very colorful and he wants to use every color (I had to help him spread out the paint since he got so much).  Jackson keeps it simple with just a few colors.
Aiden is so much happier now that he can sit up, crawl, pull up, and cruise around things.

Tom, Rebekah, Henry, Margaret, and Simon came for a visit.  It was so much fun getting to see them.  Here are some of the cousins sitting on the couch and watching a show (it was getting late).
We went to Imaginon
  Aiden's cheesy grin :)

Story time
Aiden hanging out with aunt Rebekah
Dillan and James just woke up from their naps and were a little hesitant to join in on the pool fun :)

Dillan did a really good job keeping his big boy underwear dry during the visit.  I was very impressed...especially with all of the chaos.  He was definitely tired and he heard Aiden's show and decided to lay down and watch, too.

If you ask Dillan to say "Cheese" for a picture....this is what you get...this is how he says "cheese" :)
  Dillan and Aiden playing together....

I can't believe he is standing up and playing with toys....it happened so fast....before I know it, he will be walking!

Family trip to the zoo....we had a lot of fun!
