March 2014 through April 13, 2014 (iphone catch up)

Aiden is my first child to sleep a little later in the mornings.  He usually wakes up between 7:30-8:00 am in the morning but occasionally he will sleep even later than that.  Our church has 3 services (8:00 am; 9:30 am; 11:00 am).  Since Jackson and Dillan were early risers, we attend the 8:00 am / 9:30 am service and are in the rotation to volunteer at 8:00 am service.  However, Aiden rarely makes it up in time to leave.  So what does this mean?  Aiden and I go to the second service in Walt's car and Walt volunteers in the nursery without me :)  Once our year commitment is up...we are going to try attending the 9:30 am / 11:00 am services so we can go as a family again.  However, who knows what Hudson will think about this time...I am sure it will interfere with his morning nap...but I guess that is why Sundays are hard when you have little kids :)

I cannot believe how big he is....and yes, I promise he wears clothes most of the time :)
There was a Dad's night at Jackson's preschool

Right before this picture was taken Jackson told me that they loved each other and were going to be best friends forever :)

We met up with Alex, James, and Alexandria...wish I would have gotten more pictures, but they were all over the place :)
We converted Dillan's crib to a toddler bed, but he still insists on sleeping this way....surely he can't last much longer...he is getting way too big :)
It is not uncommon for people to ask if Jackson and Dillan are twins because they are close to the same size.  I feel like Jackson has had a little growth spurt recently :)

Circus week at school...when I picked up Jackson he was dressed like this :)
One Saturday we went with Walt downtown to grab some things from his office and go to the park.  We stopped at a fountain and the boys kept covering their ears because they thought the waterfall feature was loud.  Walt was attempting to get a picture of me with the boys since I am the one usually behind the camera...and this is what he got :)

Stomping around at the park

Dillan actually likes having his picture taken these days because he likes being able to see it afterwards.
Tree climbing

We did not celebrate my birthday on the actual day because it was the same night as Dad's night at Jackson's school so we celebrated the following day.  Walt and the boys surprised me with cupcakes and a new laptop because mine keeps getting a blue screen and shutting down, there are black spots on the screen, and Aiden took off the space bar :)

Sandbox fun!

Alex, Jim, James, and Alexandria came over for dinner on Saturday.  After dinner the kids had cookies and played outside.

 Sweet baby girl Alexandria!

Boys will be boys...they love playing in the sand!

10 year anniversary weekend

It seems I am always playing catch up....I have no doubts this theme will continue after Hudson's arrival.

Play doh fun for Aiden and Dillan while Jackson was at WEE school.

My parents came in town so that Walt and I could celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.  Since Jackson's birth, we have only gone on about 5 dates (whenever family is in town) and had never gone away overnight.  We figured it was a good time to do it because we thought all the boys would be fine with us being gone...it was me who was sad :)

Before leaving on our 48 hour "trip", my mom came up to hang out and then my dad joined a few days later.  As usual, these pictures are a little out of order.

It came time for us to leave....I held it together until we left and then I started crying.  Walt jokingly told me I could cry as much as I wanted on the way to Asheville, but once we got there that I needed to stop :)  On the way, I kept wondering if I was going to be that sad the whole time and thinking it wasn't worth it....but with each positive report that I got from my mom and once I realized that the boys were totally fine...I was able to relax and have some much needed time away with Walt.  Between me being pregnant and Walt studying for his test and transitioning into a new role at work...we have not had much time to even have a conversation...let alone spend quality time together.  Walt found a bed and breakfast where we had the whole second story of the guest house to ourselves that was ~ 1300 sq ft.  It was really nice and it made it really special...especially since we weren't able to do much since I was so pregnant (~ 31 weeks pregnant).  Plus it was rainy the whole time we were gone...but it didn't matter....we ate good food, shopped and walked around a little bit....and basically relaxed.  The bed and breakfast was a nice and relaxing retreat.
