Easter 2011

Before we head into the Easter pictures, poor Jackson was sick this week. Last Saturday he started running fever and then he ended up with a runny nose and a nasty cough. He was hardly eating or drinking. I took him to the doctor on Monday and he said that he may have had a virus that ended up causing him to have asthma like symptoms. Either that or this might be the first sign that he may have asthma. They tested his oxygen levels and they were low and he was weazing a little bit so the doctor prescribed him a steroid and breathing treatments. Here is our little guy doing a breathing treatment. At first he cried, but he got used to it pretty quick thankfully. He is doing much better now. He still has a runny nose and cough, but his cough is better and we are down to 2 breathing treatments a day vs. 4. Hopefully he will be back to 100% in the next couple of days! Sidenote, now I am sick :)

Poor guy did not feel good.
Here is Jackson's Easter basket from the Easter bunny. He got a stuffed animal and empty Easter eggs. The Easter bunny must have known that the eggs didn't need to have anything in them because he was happy to open & close them.

Here is our sweet boy right before church. He was watching tv because Walt and I were running around trying to get ready because we were going to the early service. So needless to say I wasn't able to get him to look at the camera, but they still show his sweet face :)

Still not looking at the camera, but I asked him to smile and he did. Guess I should have said "look at mommy and smile." :)

Here is Jackson's Easter outfit. He looked so cute!

After church we tried to get some pictures. The only way we could get somewhat "happy" pictures were if he were holding sticks.

Using the timer feature on our camera. Yes, Jackson's tongue is sticking out and he is holding sticks. But this was the best we could do :)

Walt and Jackson. Great picture of Walt, but Jackson was not into taking pictures so we finally gave up :)

Tongue out again :)

Dillan :)

Walt's sister, Alex, and her family came over for Easter lunch. Before we ate, the kids had a small Easter egg hunt. Here are some pictures of Jackson's first Easter egg hunt. He caught on quickly.

Jackson and his Easter eggs

Alex's kids actually had candy in their eggs...go figure :) Jackson came across some candy that had fallen on the ground...as you can tell he liked it :)

Addie, Jackson, and Sam

Jackson really liked Addie :) Here is a picture of them hugging. He would walk up to her and grab her hand and try to lead her around. She was very sweet to him.

Jackson showing his basketball skills :)

He loves all types of balls...soccer balls, baseballs, basketballs, tennis balls...when we skype with my mom, he usually goes and grabs all of the balls and shows her each one :) When we skyped with my parents yesterday, he showed them each Easter egg one by one :)

Dillan update

I have an update to yesterday's post. My doctor measured me today and informed me that my belly is now measuring bigger than expected and that if that is still the case next appointment that he will want me to have a sonogram to check Dillan's size. Apparently I am measuring 33 weeks vs. 30 weeks :) Obviously Dillan had a growth spurt in the last 2 weeks :) No wonder my belly looks so big in the below post :)

Nonni's visit

Jackson got a special treat when he got a visitor from Texas! My mom (aka Nonni) came to visit. It was so great to see her and Jackson really enjoyed spending time with her. There wasn't even a transition time this visit. I think our skype sessions have really helped. He knows exactly who Nonni is :)

Walt and I were even able to go out to dinner for my birthday / our 7 anniversary. Walt and I have only been out one other time since Jackson was born and that time we waited until after we put him to bed and then my parents stayed with him. But this time, my mom fed him dinner, gave him a bath, and put him to bed. Jackson did great! I am so glad that the first time we left him that it was with someone he really knew and who loved him!

Obviously this is not a very flattering picture that my mom took and it is kind of blurry, but I couldn't resist giving a shout out to Dillan in this post. Hard to believe that I am 30 weeks and counting. I am wondering if he is going to be a late arrival like his brother. Only time will tell :) I have an appointment tomorrow so I am looking forward to hearing that sweet heart beat! So far I have been measuring right on track...which is crazy when I look at that big belly!
I know I have mentioned it before, but Jackson LOVES stuffed animals.
My mom got Jackson this recycling truck...no, not garbage truck...recycling truck :). He loves it!

Such a sweet face!

Jackson loves playing with the water hose. Side note, it is not something that happens with Mommy...only with Daddy :)
Look at that grin...he knows he is hot stuff :)

We are still having a hard time getting video of Jackson these days. As soon as he sees the video camera, he wants to watch the videos on the play back screen. So he stops whatever it is that we are trying to record and throws himself at the video camera trying to see :) But we keep trying :)
