Pumpkin Patch and Dinosaurs

We took a family trip to a farm that had pumpkins, a hayride, animals to feed, and a hay maze. It was a great family outing...Jackson had a blast and Dillan slept most of the time :)

So much fun!

An attempt at a picture of me with the boys...Dillan was sleeping & Jackson was on the move

Jackson in the hay maze

Jackson definitely got the hang of feeding the animals...he fed a donkey, 2 goats, some rabbits, and chickens

Jackson in the tractor...you can barely see him :)

Dillan on the way home :)

Jackson really likes dinosaurs...so not only is he having a Dinosaur birthday party, but he dressed up as a dinosaur for Halloween.

Walt's sister, Alex, had a Halloween party on Saturday. He was very excited to put on his costume. He had a blast and kept on his costume the whole time (2.5hrs).

On the way to the party

We had borrowed a pea in the pod costume for Dillan, but he was less than thrilled when we put it on him...so we decided not to mess with it, but Jackson had a great time!

Jackson with his cousin, Addie

On Monday, our neighborhood Garden Club (which I belong to) hosted a Halloween party in one of the cul de sacs. Jackson had decided not to take a nap that day...so he was in a special place :) Despite being tired, he had fun!

Dillan woke up from his nap and was ready to eat...so he was a little sleepy :)

Jackson riding on his horse

He got it for his 1st birthday...it is hard to believe he is almost 2.

4 months

The boys have decided to boycott sleeping...so everyone in our house has been a little tired lately :) Here are the culprits :) Dillan still isn't doing a long stretch at night and he usually wakes up between 5:30-6:00am. He also has the 30-40 minute timer for his naps like his brother did at this age. Fortunately, I can usually get him back to sleep and put him in the swing, but that is only going to work for so much longer. And Jackson has decided to wake up at 5:00am...one morning it was 4:00am. Obviously we don't go and get him, but no one is getting much sleep because he is crying off / on. Please pray for wisdom & guidance for us as we navigate decisions regarding sleep in our household...especially as the time change is approaching :)

Sweet boy

Dillan loves to smile and laugh...today, Jackson was being silly and Dillan was laughing. It was so cute!

Dillan eating rice cereal for the first time

Dillan had his 4 month appointment this last week. The doctor said he is doing great! Here are his stats:

Height: 26.75 inches (90th percentile)

Weight: 17lbs 8oz (90th percentile)

Head: 44.5cm (90th percentile)

My boys! I am so blessed!

Dillan rolling over...he is rolling over from his back to his stomach all the time. He does not roll over as much from his stomach to his back. Not sure why...usually it is the other way around...maybe because he wants his fingers in his mouth almost at all times...so when he gets on his stomach...he usually puts his face down to get his fingers :)

The introduction of Charlie and so much more...

I am so far behind on blogging :( So here is my best attempt to play catch up!

Most of you know that Jackson has a lovey named Dougie. We decided it was time to introduce a lovey to Dillan. Who knows if Dillan will have a strong attachment like Jackson has had with Dougie, but it seems we are off to a good start :) I would like to introduce Charlie :)
Jackson playing with pasta and making a mess :) He had a lot of fun though :)
Dillan playing in his bumbo seat...although Jackson likes to sit in it, too :)

Walt & Jackson after church

Jackson thought it was a great idea to put stickers on his head...he did not think it was so much fun taking the stickers off.

Who knew a couch and balls could be so much fun?

I left the room for a minute and came back and he was up against the wall.

Playing in the water after the rain...good times!

I love this pic!

Sweet pic

Jackson & Dillan...you can't tell, but they are wearing their big brother / little brother shirts

Jackson LOVES playing basketball and he is actually pretty good. He has a "jump shot" where he actually jumps and shoots and he usually makes it. My mom managed to catch him in the air :) I have attached a video of him playing basketball. We have since made the basket higher and he has already adjusted to it. He just may follow in his father's footsteps :)

My parents came in town for the boy's dedication...so my mom made sure to take a picture of me with the boys.

Walt is turning the shed in our back yard into a play house for the boys. So while my dad was in town, they put up the sheetrock and put in the wiring. Jackson "helped" :)

Hard at work :)

Our church really made the dedication special. They only do dedications twice a year. They have a separate ceremony after church and then have a reception following the dedication. We weren't able to stay long for the reception since it was way past Jackson's naptime, but it was really nice. We are humbled by the responsibility God has given us in raising the boys. We pray that they grow to know and love the Lord with all of their hearts. We are so thankful that God has blessed us with these precious boys!

Family pic after the ceremony. Both boys were tired. I wanted to take a picture before the ceremony, but we were running low on time trying to get everyone ready :)

Nonni & Papa with the boys

My mom took some pictures of Dillan...he was having a good time :) He is such a happy, sweet, and content baby. He smiles and laughs a lot and is so much fun!

I realize these pictures make us look a little...hmm, what is the word? Red neck? Jackson was painting in the garage in his pajamas and Dillan is in the background with only a diaper on. But they were having fun :)

Jackson is talking a lot! It is amazing how in the last few weeks he has started using a lot of 2-3 word sentences. He really likes telling me about what he does when he goes to "school" on Fridays and he likes to tell Walt what we did that day when Walt comes home from work. He is so much fun to be around! He is a happy, exuberant little boy!

Ok, I know I just said that Jackson is exuberant and he is...unless he is watching one of his "shows". On this particular day he was eating a snack, holding Dougie and his new puppy from Nonni and Papa, and watching Diego :)

This is the life :)

This week Dillan rolled over from his back to his stomach. I haven't gotten it on video yet. Here he is rolling over from his stomach to his back. This was taken several weeks ago. He was doing it a lot and has recently stopped. Maybe he was doing it more by accident than being intentional.
