Jackson & Dillan's room

With Aiden's arrival came the decision of how we were going to utilize our 4 bedrooms.  Prior to Aiden's arrival, there was the master, Jackson's room, Dillan's / guest room, and a sitting room.  We actually utilize the sitting room a lot and since Walt enjoyed sharing a room with his brothers growing up...he wanted Jackson and Dillan to share a room.  At first, I was hesitant because I did not want to mess with either of their sleeping.  However, after a lot of thought, consulting other parents who had children share a room at a young age, and NUMEROUS ideas on which room would be what and when this transition would take place...it has finally happened :)

As you saw in the previous post, the first step of this process was moving Jackson to his big boy bed.  That went without a hitch.  So the second step was moving Dillan into Jackson's room.  Here are pictures of their room.

This isn't a very clear picture, but the boys were super excited about the vehicle / truck / plane stickers that we put up on the walls.  Jackson helped us put them up while Dillan took one last nap in his old room.  Once Dillan saw the stickers, he was squealing with excitement!  Jackson LOVES the stickers, too and likes pointing to his favorites which is basically all of them.  So far, it has gone well.  We put them down at the same time at night.  The only slight issue is that Dillan recently got bronchitis and an ear infection and was waking up at night and waking up super early in the morning.  For the most part, this did not wake Jackson up...but sometimes he gets up earlier than he might if he were not sharing a room.  Dillan is well now, but he is still waking up super early.  We are trying to let him sort it out...hopefully he will figure it out soon.  During naps, Dillan sleeps in their room and Jackson sleeps in our bed.  This just made more sense because Dillan has been taking 2 naps / rests a day and is making the transition to only one nap.  So he goes down earlier than Jackson and we didn't want to wake Dillan up whenever Jackson goes down for his nap...especially since there are days that Jackson does not take a nap.  So aside from a few little kinks, I think the transition has gone really well.  Both boys seem really happy with their new room!
