We had the pleasure of meeting up with Walt's brother, Tom, and his family (Rebekah, Henry, Margaret, and Simon) for a mini-vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I will have to reference Rebekah's blog to remember the names of the places we went and I have even "borrowed" some of her pictures since I had pregnancy brain and kept forgetting my camera :)

Walt and Tom planned everything while we were there. All Rebekah and I had to do was the food and they planned all of the activities. It was so wonderful travelling with another family in the same stage of life....and they are such a great family to travel with...they are family, but also friends...and the kids had so much fun together!

Making some plans :)
For our 1st adventure, we drove up the mountain to take the trail up to Clingman's Dome (the highest point in the park). That did no happen :) When we got up there it super foggy, windy, and cold! So we took a trail going down which was a little bit better and we did not go far :)

Jackson loved every minute of it :)
Playing with cousins
Later that evening after naps...we headed into town. Aiden was such a champ. Prior to the trip he was still taking 2 naps a day, but because of our outings...he only got one nap a day.

A little putt putt golf and then we grabbed dinner.
The next day we hiked to Laurel Falls (a little over 2.5 miles round trip).
Snack time :)
After the hike, we had a picnic lunch in Cades Cove.
More good times at the cabin :)
On the third and final day, we ventured along the Ramsey Cascades Trail.
The actual trip is about 8 miles round trip, but we did not make it that far :) It was much colder and it was raining a bit, but it did not stop us from having fun!

Last night at the cabin before heading home the next day. We had such a great time with the Tom Louis family. They are expecting a baby girl in February...so baby boy Louis # 4 will have a friend to play with on future trips that we have with this incredible family!
