Christmas 2009

Walt and I stayed in Charlotte for Christmas because our pediatrician advised us against flying with Jackson during flu season since he is so young. We were sad to miss the chance to see family and friends and to miss the opportunity to introduce them to our sweet boy, but obviously his health was more important!

On Christmas Eve, we went to the services at our church with Walt's sister, Alex, and our niece & nephew. Fortunately, the service happened to coordinate with Jackson's schedule that day and he slept through the service.
-
On Christmas Day, we got up and had breakfast and then opened up gifts. Then we began our preparations for Christmas dinner. Walt fried a turkey for the first time so he spent most of the day working on that while I made a casserole, pie, and salad. Then Walt's sister and our niece & nephew came over. The turkey was really good!

Here are some pictures from Jackson's 1st Christmas!!!

Our family picture after the Christmas Eve service.
Jackson on Christmas morning.
Jackson smiling at his Daddy! Notice where Jackson gets his crazy hair from :)
Jackson playing with his gift from Mommy & Daddy!
Jackson sporting his "Baby's 1st Christmas" bib!
My sister, Michelle, got Jackson this Santa's outfit for Christmas! Isn't he the cutest Santa!
A close-up of Santa...Walt was straigthening his hat :)
"Santa" had a long day and was very tired! I was holding him like this b/c that is how he likes to be held when his stomach is bothering him.
Addie & Sam waiting to open Christmas gifts.
Alex and Jackson. Notice the similarity in the hair color :)
Here is another family picture on Christmas Day. This was the best picture despite the fact that Walt's head got cut off.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a Happy New Year!
